  • Is this the only carpet I can get from you? +

    What we display on the website are just a few samples of what we can offer.
    Please ask us for more choices if you cannot find what you like and we can bring samples to you at the time of the free onsite measure and quote.

  • What type of payment methods do you accept? +

    We only accept Cash, Cheque or Direct Debit.
    Please state your invoice number when paying via direct debit.

  • Do I need stain protection on wool carpets? +

    NO! Wool carpet has a natural ability to resist dirt, stains and spills.

  • How do I know how much carpet I need? +

    You can email us your plans and we will work it out for you, or, St Clair Floor Coverings will come to you and measure the area, our staff can also bring samples.
    Typically, this is conducted between 8.30am and 5.00pm Monday to Friday and take between 30 minutes and 1 hour depending on the size of the project.
    Our staff are carpet experts with an in-depth knowledge so don't hesitate to ask any questions you may have.

  • How wide is carpet? +

    The standard width for carpet in Australia is 3.66 metres; however, some styles of carpet are produced in widths of 2 and 4 metres.

  • How do I find a great carpet? +

    You can check the quality of the carpet from its independent grading.
    The main bodies that relate to Australia are the Australian Carpet Classification Scheme (ACCS) and the Woolmark / Woolblend Mark Scheme.
    Carpet Institute of Australia and The Woolmark Company.

  • Which is better wool or synthetic? +

    Both fibre types have great characteristics and neither fibre type is better than the other.
    A quality carpet is made with superior materials through a well monitored manufacturing process using the latest technology.
    This level of craftsmanship will produce a carpet that offers maximum performance.

  • What is the best carpet? +

    The best carpet depends on a number of things. Consider the following:

    What are the high traffic areas?
    What is the likelihood of staining (from mud, food, etc)?
    Do you have pets?
    Do you want to create a certain style?
    What is your budget?

    These are just a few things that need to be considered.

  • How can I view carpet samples? +

    St Clair Floor Coverings can bring samples to you at the time of the onsite measure and quote.

  • I cannot find my carpet? +

    If you cannot find what you're looking for please contact us by email or phone and we will find it for you.

  • What is the installation process? +

    St Clair Floor Coverings will install your flooring and we can take up and dispose of the old or existing floor coverings, our team of installers are fully qualified and insured.
    All works are carried out with care and attention to detail.
    We take great pride in all projects that we undertake.
    St Clair Floor Coverings offer Workmanship Warranty on all installations.

  • What is the onsite Measure & Quote process? +

    St Clair Floor Coverings will come to you and measure the area, our staff can also bring samples.

  • Can we get custom made carpet? +

    Yes, St Clair Floor Coverings can arrange special design carpets incorporating business logo’s and/or colours.
